چکیده

Conformo static charged dust distributions are investigated in the framework of general relativity. Einstein’s equations reduce to a nonlinear version of Poisson’s equation and Maxwell’s equations imply the equality of the charge and mass densities. An interior solution to the extreme Reissner-Nordström metric is given. Dust distributions concentrated on regular surfaces are discussed and a complete solution is given for a spherical thin shell.

Relativistic Electromagnetic Mass Models: Charged Dust Distribution in Higher Dimensions

Electromagnetic mass models are proved to exist in higher dimensional theory of general relativity corresponding to charged dust distribution. Along with the general proof a specific example is also sited as a supporting candidate. PACS number(s): 04.20.-q, 04.40.Nr, 04.20.Jb

Exact Relativistic Static Charged Dust Disks and Non-axisymmetric Structures

The well-known “displace, cut and reflect” method used to generate disks from given solutions of Einstein field equations is applied to the superposition of two extreme Reissner-Nordström black holes to construct disks made of charged dust and also non-axisymmetric planar distributions of charged dust on the z = 0 plane. They are symmetric with respect to two or one coordinate axes, depending w...

Static charged perfect fluid with Weyl-Majumdar relation

In Newtonian theory, there are static equilibrium configurations of charged particles in which the gravitational attractions and the electric repulsions among the particles exactly balance. In general relativity, it is well known that the Einstein equation has such a static solution corresponding to these Newtonian situations, namely there is the Majumdar-Papapetrou solution [2,3] describing an...

Self–similar and charged spheres in the diffusion approximation

We study spherical, charged and self–similar distributions of matter in the diffusion approximation. We propose a simple, dynamic but physically meaningful solution. For such a solution we obtain a model in which the distribution becomes static and changes to dust. The collapse is halted with damped mass oscillations about the absolute value of the total charge.

Energy density in general relativity: a possible role for cosmological constant

We consider a static spherically symmetric charged anisotropic fluid source of radius ∼ 10−16 cm by introducing a variable Λ dependent on the radial coordinate r under general relativity. From the solution sets a possible role of the cosmological constant is investigated which indicates the dependency of energy density on it.
